The Rugby World Cup 2011 lands in New Zealand this year and a joint venture between Tainui and Auckland Airport to build a quality hotel run by Novotel is nearing completion.
FGS Metalwork in conjunction with Warren and Mahoney Architects have worked together to design and construct an architectural revolving feature wall to provide screening in the private dinning room area. The screening stands over 6.2 meters high.
The following photos are of the architectural screening being installed by FGS Metalwork. Stay tuned for new posted photos on completion.

Each Screen was over 6.2 meters long and required 4 people to carefully carry each of the 12 screens.

The screens were 3mm thick steel sheets which were first laser cut to specification and then folded as required. Finally they were powder coated and ready for the time consuming 'eco resin' diamonds to be fitted.

Each of the different 'eco resin' coloured see through diamond shapes were meticulously fitted as per the architects design pattern.

The panels were laid out and fitted to the ceiling. Each screen was well covered to protect it from damage.

The team at FGS Metalwork worked hard throughout the day to install all the screens ready for the next stage of the development to be completed.

Doing a final inspection check before protective covering is removed.
